Emerging from a cluster of lakes and small streams is a river unique
is both its beauty and its mystery. In the Rifle River Recreation Area
near the town of Lupton, this river is rich with clear water flowing through
pools and riffles and is designated Michigan Wild Scenic Natural
River. This river is the Rifle River.
